The Cosmopolitan Hotel is found in Old Town, and was rebuilt to be historically accurate to the 1869 version of the building. The hotel required a complete seismic analyzation and upgrade to properly replicate the second story on top of the first. We had to properly assess our wood framing second story design to work cohesively with the Adobe structure found throughout the first floor. The additional second story required the foundation to be stronger, so new footings were included in the design.
